What follows describes what the final Acceptable Use policy is expected to cover, drawn from the approved product brief. It is a reference summary, it has not been legal-reviewed, and it is not a binding policy. The rules that apply today are in the Terms and Conditions.

What this policy will cover

The published policy is expected to set out how StoryCraftAI may and may not be used. The product brief already fixes these boundaries:

Development guidance only. StoryCraftAI does not generate complete books, full manuscripts, serialised chapters, or ghostwritten long-form prose.
No close imitation of the distinctive style of a living author.
No continuation or reproduction of substantial copyrighted text that the user has not supplied.
No sexual content involving minors, exploitative sexual content, targeted hateful degradation, instructions enabling real-world harm, or invasive personal-data requests.
Violence and difficult themes are handled at the level of narrative purpose and non-graphic craft.
Users are asked not to share confidential drafts or material they do not have permission to use.

The rules that apply today

Until this policy is published, user conduct is governed by section 4 of the Terms and Conditions, and account suspension by section 9.
